Located in Dublin’s Liberties, this student housing scheme involves the refurbishment of No.30 and No’s 32 – 36 Thomas Street, and the insertion of a new building within the depth of the urban block to the rear of the restored historic structures.

This development involved the construction of 257 purpose-built student accommodation units with circa 290 beds.

The overall development included a new build 6/7 storey construction within a very confined city centre site. It also involved the refurbishment of five historic buildings which face onto Thomas Street.

  • Structural appraisals and condition schedules of the existing historic buildings.
  • Preparation of planning package, design of structural and civil engineering elements of the project.
  • Preparation of tender documentation, evaluation of tenders, monitoring on site during construction stage, cost control, reporting.
  • Health & Safety Designer duties.
  • Design compliance verification and other related services associated with the project execution and delivery.
