No. 14 Henrietta Street is an old georgian building that once housed seventeen families. The building was first converted into a tenement in the late 1800’s. It opened in 2018 as a museum charting tenement life in Dublin.

Barrett Mahony acted as civil structural engineers for this refurbishment/conservation project, that included extensive strengthening works to the existing floors/stairs and the addition of a new feature stairs.
Some key project specific items relating to our services are as follows:

  • Assessment of all existing floor structures and structural intervention works to upgrade to meet
    future loading requirements.
  • Extensive refurbishment works to the existing building including strengthening works to original
    timber stairs, new openings and link to new rear extension.
  • Design of new rear extension building and external areas.
