N81 Footbridge Tallaght, Dublin

A landmark footbridge constructed to replace the existing bridge over the N81 adjacent to the Greenhills Road and St. Dominick’s Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

The project included the following:

• 25m high reinforced concrete main pylon with 6 No. cable ties to support a 45m clear span bridge.
• Composite deck consisting of cast-insitu concrete on structural steel beams.
• Demolition of the existing pedestrian footbridge.
• Managed phasing of the bridge replacement to facilitate pedestrian crossing of the N81
