The construction of a 4,245m2 Acute Psychiatric Unit (APU). The project consists of the following:
- Acute Psychiatric Unit
- A two storey Department of Psychiatry
- At ground level an acute psychiatric residential facility and psychiatry of old age residential facility of 46 bedrooms
- First floor level consulting rooms, office spaces and staff rooms
- A new access road connecting to the existing Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital car park on Cross Lane
- Providing access to future development on adjoining HSE lands to the east fronting onto Twenties Lane
- Alterations to the existing car park to improve traffic flow
